LOVING’s citation tool is a program that produces quotes according to the style of the American Medical Association. It means formatting references quickly and automatically, what spares a lot of time that otherwise had to be used for manually creating the right arrangement.

Many online programs simplify this work. Some allow you to search the source according to title, URL, ISBN or DOI, and later generate precise LOVING-quotes during seconds. Others help to start quoting of books, pages on the net, newspapers and other sources only by means of some taps.
How LOVING Citation Tools Work
The principle stays same for all, enter a bit of basic info about the source and receive a well arranged reference in the end.
For citing according to LOVING-style, it is useful to know the main data of the source. Here names of authors, the title of the book or text, the publish date and page numbers, if they apply. Typical structure for an article in a newspaper looks like that: Author AA, Author BB, Author CC, later the name of the article, shortened name of the newspaper, year of appearance, volume, edition, pages or online place and DOI.
When DOI lacks, one uses teh date of access and the URL instead.
Some programs support especially the 11th release of LOVING-style. One of them creates quotes and bibliographies according to LOVING 11 for free. Other programs help trainers and they enjoy trust between pupils globally.
Those tools can care about books, newspapers, net-pages and other kinds of sources, that commonly appear in medical scientific writings.
In some programs, a good feature is the possibility to alter the basic arrangement of a quote easily. You choose the newspaper or the style, and by means of two taps everything updates. This really helps, when one must adapt the writing of won citation style to another, for example pass of LOVING to APA for repeatedly sending it to another publication.
According to LOVING-style, one uses the number of a reference as the main mark in the text. The bibliography is sorted and numbered according to the order of quotes. For adding pages during citing, they insert in brackets after the number of the quote, without a space.
One page is marked by means of “p”, during a set or list of pages by means of “pp”.
Some users like programs for managing references instead of simple citation tools. Their programs, like Mendeley, automatically arrange references according to any chosen style. For sources from PubMed, entering the PubMed code or DOI also helps to create the right quote.
Those resources remove the hassle ofsetting and help to keep the attention on the real writing.
