Every theme of the GED test is measured by a scale of 100 to 200 The examination is made up of four parts: RLA (Reasoning Through Language Arts), Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies and Science. In the section RLA, you test reading and writing. To receive the degree, you must reach at least 145 points in every theme.

How GED Scores Work
Even so, the limit was not always 145. When the test was first issued, the lowest score to pass was 150 in every area. Later, they lowered this limit to 145.
That low score is enough to confirm that the person successfully ended the tset.
If you receive between 145 and 164 points, that means your level matches that of high school graduates. Even so, higher results give more advantages. Scores between 165 and 174 show that you are fit to take university courses.
Moreover, such result can free you from placement tests or help courses without credits in college. To receive the GED with Honors, you require at least 170 points in every section, which proves high readyness for university or career.
Reach the level “College-Ready Plus Credit” is very useful. More than 500 universities in United States accept those scores. Some of those schools even give university credits based on the results of the GED test.
The point system ranges: easy questions give fewer points, and hard ones give more. To reach the lowest limit, you usually must answer correctly around 60 to 65 percent of the questions in every part. For instance, the Mathematical section has 100 available points.
You cannot directly convert the GED score to traditional GPA. Although it is possible to do a rough calculation, it is not a simple conversion.
The results usually appear within 24 hours after the examination. Occasionally however they require until three weekdays so that the points be ready and sent to the account. You will receive email when the results are ready.
