The points for Analytical Writing in the GRE range of 0 until 6. They receive in half spots. Each point represents a clear grade of skill.
The written score is separate of the sections with multiple choices. Because of that, it does not alter the points of Verbal Reasoning neither of Quantitative Reasoning. Also it does not matter for the combine score of Verbal and Quantitative.

The section of AWA adjusted. Since September 22nd 2023 in the new GRE, it carries only one essay during 30 minutes. Before were two essays: about cause and about argument, each during 30 minutes.
