Researchers studied data from 77 different studies about 6,000 people, and they found, that most adults read loudly at about 183 words per minute. It is worth noting, that at slower rhythm, for example 125 words per minute (an article with 1),600 words would take you almost 12.8 minutes to end. How Long Does Reading Out Loud Take
Simply divide the whole word count by 183 for oral reading or by 238 for silent.
Silent reading allows bigger speed, which makes sense, if one would think about it. The eyes simply slip over the words, without need, that the mouth them form. When folks practice silently more often, their rhythm usually grows.
Slow readers commonly stay between 150 and 200 words per minute. The average for folks reaches around 250 per minute. And what about the fast readers?
